Sotiris Spatharis, the father of the famous shadow theatre master puppeteer, Evgenios. An exceptional yet truly authentic folk artist, gifted with a rare literary talent that brought to life his remarkable Memoirs.
He was born in 1892 on Santorini, and at just one years old he moved with his parents, Evgenios and Maria Spatharis, to the Metaxourgeio neighborhood of Athens.
